Christophe (known by most as CPLR) is the most successful pattern pilot of all time with a total of 8 World Championship titles to his name (as of 2022). He pioneered a constant speed, graceful presentation of the pattern that many aspire to copy to this day. In addition, Christophe was the first person to show up to the world championships with a "T-canalizer" just a few inches across, the predecessor to the giant canalizers found on so many F3A airplanes today. In 2019, Christophe showed up to the World Championships with the Oreka; an airplane designed with a dramatic amount of sweep and thick root chord that has guided design trends in pattern ever since.
